Epson Releases A New Affordable 4″x6″ Printer

Written by:

Epson recently released the PictureMate Dash. This compact 4″x6″ printer has a lot of features for those looking for an affordable photo printer.

~ Large 3.6” LCD photo viewer
~ Crop, resize and remove red eye – PC-free
~ Border-free 4″ x 6″ Photos in as fast as 37 sec
~ Photos last 2 – 4 times longer than lab prints
~ Smudge, scratch, water and fade resistant
~ Prints sepia, B&W, wallets and more
~ Easy, one-touch printing

The PictureMate Dash is also a dye-sublimation printer. This means that it uses a heat exposed cellophane to lay down colors, as opposed to a series of dots used by inkjets, producing a more subtle gradation. Photos printed from dye-sublimation printers look like standard photo-lab prints.
