The Digital Journalist Online Magazine
Written by: Tiffany Joyce
I was going through different photography websites when I stumbled upon The Digital Journalist. It’s a monthly online magazine dedicated to digital photojournalism. The site was created by Dirck Halstead who used to work as a photojournalist with Time magazine. He now teaches in the University of Texas and is an imaging consultant for Hewlett Packard so you better believe this guy knows what he’s talking about.
The November issue features black and white photos of American icons such as Mohammad Ali, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King. These photos were taken by Steve Schapiro, a well known documentarist.
There is also an interesting article by Beverly Spicer about hemispheric dominance (i.e. left or right brain) and its relation to photography. Find out whether you’re left or right brained by watching a nude woman spinning. Fun, right? See it here. I’m right-brained and Lisa’s left-brained. She’s still trying to recover from the shock. We’ve always been under the impression that it was the other way around. Let us know what you got.

Lisa’s note: This is nuts. She’s totally spinning every which way. I am NOT left-brained!
