Beyond Megapixels after 9 Months

Written by:

Hello, Beyond Megapixels readers! This is a miraculous day around these parts because it’s going to be a two-post day. (Pause for collective gasp.) I know, I know. It’s unbelievable.

Anyway, we have some free time right now so I figured now would be a good time to give you readers an update on how the site is doing. This blog has been up since November 2007. One of our goals was to reach 1,000 subscribers before our first year anniversary. We have 1,000 subscribers now, after only 9 months, and it’s kinda blowing our minds.

So now we’ve set a new goal for our first year anniversary: 1,600 subscribers. It’s probably a lofty goal, but let’s try to reach more people.

You can spread the word and help us reach more people. Tell your friends. You can write about your favorite Beyond Megapixels posts on your blogs, or even just link back to us on your sidebars. You can also Digg and Stumble your favorite BM articles. There are links to Digg and Stumble a post at the end of each one.

If you’re one of those people who just pop back in to read once in a while, now would be a good time to subscibe to our RSS feed to get updated sooner. If you don’t know what RSS means, no worries, you can choose to get our articles via e-mail. Just type in your e-mail address, validate it, and voila! You get our posts delivered to your inbox for free. No worries, we NEVER send spam mail.

Thanks, everyone, for helping make Beyond Megapixels what it is today. Special thanks goes to the awesome bloggers (that you should be reading, too) that have helped our little blog grow over these past 9 months by linking to some of our articles, and just for being all around fantastic: Brian of Epic Edits Weblog, Udi of, Antoine of ADIDAP, the cool folks at 1001 Noisy Cameras and at Imaging Insider, David of Digital ProTalk, Darren of Digital Photography School, to name a few.

Here’s to more light and love! As always, if you have any questions or suggestions on topics you’d like us to write about, just leave a comment or shoot us an e-mail at info at beyondmegapixels dot com. Have a great week!
