Reflectors Revisited
Written by: Tiffany Joyce
Way back in September Jeff had gone over the benefits and uses of Reflectors and while I’d been thinking about purchasing them for a while I was hemming and hawing about which size I needed and if I would actually use the reflectors as intended. I bit the bullet last week though and I ended up buying the Flashpoint 22″ 5-in-1 Collapsible Disc Reflector, Translucent, White, Black, Silver & Soft Gold.
I took a few shots using the gold tone and it did warm up the look of the shot:

Looking back on it I think I would have gotten the larger size like this Westcott 301 Photo Basics 40-Inch 5-in-1 Reflector. Or this one that only has the gold and white but it’s larger JTL 36″ Round Foldable Portable Light Reflector, Gold & White
. While the larger wouldn’t fit as easily into my camera bag this isn’t a piece of equipment that I can personally handle all on my own. It may be my lack of coordination but I am not able to hold my camera without a lot of shake and hold the reflector. I would need Westcott 302 Photo Basics Reflector Holder
when I book more portrait work this is in my shopping cart.
