Weekend link love
Written by: Tiffany Joyce
As much as I love to write about photography – not to mention get out there to shoot my own photos! – I also really enjoy spending part of my evening browsing around and looking at other beautiful work out there. There was a time that depressed me a bit. I’d think, “look at how amazing these shots are, I’ll never measure up” but now I’ve grown secure enough that it doesn’t happen as often. Instead I see them as inspirational.
Since summer is rapidly approaching the Northern Hemisphere (how is it May already?) that means one major thing for many professional photographers: Wedding Season! As a result I thought I’d share some of my favorite engagement and wedding sequences that I’ve found recently. I hope you enjoy them, and maybe you can get some new ideas if you have your own matrimonial shoots lined up this season!
The vintage bridesmaids dresses in this post are gorgeous and the top-notch photography only enhances them even more.
I’ve seen some impressive engagement photos in my life but this underwater shoot for the couple’s “save the date” photos goes beyond amazing.
This is fun: Tim and Angela are a married couple who are also brilliant wedding photographers and they both shoot together. As a result you get a lot of great mixed styles. I’m in love with the way they use so many great urban settings for their engagement shoots like this one. Really, their entire site is an exercise in inspiration!
And it should be noted that I’m a HUGE fan of the whole “Trash the Dress” concept, such as in the photos above. If you’d like to try a Trash the Dress shoot, check out this site for ideas!
Do you have a favorite wedding or engagement shoot that you’ve seen (or shot)? Share a link!
