Here is a selection of photography-based articles and websites that have come to my attention in the past few weeks, which I thought offered excellent advice and information. In the spirit of learning and of community, I now pass them on to you!
Many of you know that I am a fan of Jay Maisel, and I’m not the only one! My good friend Jim Martin shares a review of the Kelby Training video, “Another Day with Jay Maisel”. If you haven’t signed up for Kelby Training, and if you haven’t seen the two videos in the Jay Maisel series, I highly recommend them!
Adorama’s Carl Heilman offers this inspirational article about how to use aperture and shutter speed in a creative way.
Strobist brings back their Boot Camp after a two year hiatus – join Boot Camp III and stretch your creative muscles!
Shutter Sisters has created a video tutorial for working with textures. They have, as usual, done a fantastic job at explaining things in a succinct, easy-to-understand way.
This one was from back in April, but I found the article to be just fascinating. Scott Kelby features Stacy Pearsall on his Guest Blog Wednesday spot. Stacy’s work, her story, and her adventures make for very inspiring reading.
Also from back in April, Snapsort/LensHero offers this very handy infographic with tips on how to shoot in low light.
What interesting articles have you come across in your perusal of the internet? Feel free to share them in the comments!
