Contest Winner! Contest Announcement!
Written by: Tiffany Joyce
Last week we held a contest for the best photograph that represented flared fall light. Out of the many excellent contributions, Rachel N Leon Burkholder was chosen as our lucky winner! This was her lovely photo, submitted on our Facebook Page (click for full size):
Congratulations Rachel! Please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your mailing address so I can ship you your books!
Now for the details of our next contest!
Between now and November 15th, submit the photograph that best represents your “style”. Do you gravitate toward landscapes? Black and white? Do you like to use Lightroom presets to give your photos a unique edge? Show us a photo that you’re proud of, that has “you” written all over it. Post it to our Facebook Page, or to the “Your Photographic Style” discussion thread in our Flickr Group.
For example, this is something I would be likely to submit:
After November 15th, I will choose the photographs that I think best interpret our subject. The number of photos I choose will be dependent on the number of entries received. On November 19th I will post my selection on Beyond Megapixels.
From November 19th through December 6th, YOU will vote on the photo that you like best. I will post a poll on the Beyond Megapixels main page, and whichever photos garner the most votes will be our winners! You can vote for your own photo, but please only vote once. Tell your family! Tell your friends! Send everyone you know over to the poll to cast their vote!
There will be three prizes:
Third Place: $25.00 Amazon Gift Certificate
Second Place: $50.00 Amazon Gift Certificate
First Place: $100.00 Amazon Gift Certificate
The winner will be announced on December 7th, with the gift certificates emailed immediately so you can finish up your holiday shopping! I did not choose the timing of this contest coincidentally, after all.
I look forward to seeing your contributions! Good luck to everyone!
